The Edmund Fitzgerald the TUC Way
Date: October 13, 2007
General Information:
The Edmund Fitzgerald 100K relay is a race (in our case a fun run) from Finland, Minnesota to Duluth. Actually, the relay course is 105K because we have to veer off of the course for the first relay point. Relay teams consist of 8 to 10 runners. We would like to field at least two teams. To maximize the fun, we ask the runners to run together for their legs.
The first leg starts crazy early and, due to race restrictions, the only support they receive is a few brave volunteers and a pack of bears. After the first leg, we are allowed to bring one vehicle per team onto the course. Periodically, we pull over to offer refreshments and encouragement to our teammates then drive ahead to do it again.
Contact our Ed Fitz Coordinator if you're interested in joining a team.
See the Ed Fitz web site for more information.
